Suitable for both 4x4 vehicles and utility use, it features a superior all-metal 3-stage planetary gear train, a beefy 8,500-lb pull rating, a low-draw 4.5 horsepower engine, 94-feet of durable 5/16" steel wire rope, a hawse fairlead and a rubber remote with a 15-foot switch cord, all for a reasonable price.
The Superwinch 1585202 LP8500 series winch is designed to accommodate the needs of entry level 4x4 and utility customers who need power. The second generation of the LP8500 product line, the 1585202 LP8500 winch is designed to fit most any 4x4 vehicle, as well as trailers, RVs and other similarly sized vehicles. Its ease of use also makes it an excellent utility winch. Along with a hefty 8,500-LB line pull rating via 94-feet of 5/16" steel wire rope and a 4.5 hp sealed series wound motor powered by an easy to establish permanent connection to your vehicle battery, the LP8500 features the power and reliability of a heavy-duty all-metal 3-stage planetary gear train. Additional features include, a lever action freespooling clutch allowing users to quickly disengage the motor and manually draw out as much winch rope as needed, at any time, a hawse fairlead (mounting plate sold separately), a heavy-duty latched hook with thimble and a two-year limited warranty.
As with all Superwinch products, safety is an important consideration of the LP8500 series winch. With this in mind it contains a wealth of valuable safety features standard. These include automatic load holding braking to minimize the possibility of wire rope slippage in the event of power failure or surge, and to provide quick stopping of the drum; a sealed solenoid and circuit breaker protection to ensure safe, reliable, electromagnetic power in all weather conditions; and a rubberized remote switch with a 15-foot extension cable, allowing for safe distances and positioning between the user and winch during off vehicle use. 2-Year Limited Warranty Superwinch, LLC warrants to the original buyer that the mechanical components of all genuine Superwinch winch models shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase of new products for (2) two years and that the electrical components shall be free from defects in materials and workmanship for (1) one year from the provable date of purchase, or otherwise specified time period. Any product that Superwinch determines to be defective will be repaired or replaced at Superwinch's discretion without charge to buyer upon buyer's compliance with disclosed procedures.
